We raised Banjo after her mom died when she was 5 hours old. It apparently did not stunt her, as she still has some growing to do. She is a kind, well adjusted young mare with good ground manners. This is a very pretty headed filly with a big hip. Just wanted to let you know that Annie is still doing great. Last month (June 2005) we qualified for the Florida State 4-H horse show. We just got back and I have to say it was Annie's best so far. We won our hunter showmanship class out of 70 people (it was a 3 1/2 hour class), we won our halter mares class and then received overall grand champion mare, and then we also won our dressage class out of 30 people! We came in the top ten for the entire show and took home the versatility award as well. What was supposed to be a three day show go pushed into two days because of the hurricane so we were riding dressage at midnight and we were supposed to do equitation but we didn't because it didn't take place till 3am. Anyways, Annie couldn't have done any better and now we are going to represent Florida at regionals along with 39 other qualifiers during the first week in August. I'll let you know how it goes and send you a more up to date picture soon. She is in such good shape right now and just looks phenomenal!
